Picked up a 5.7 motor

I didn't want to start a new thread but no one's replying to my other one

haha, anyways, I picked it up a couple days ago and I got the Casting number off the block which was 10243880 and the head's are 10239906. When I put this block number in google it comes up with "350CID, 95-00, 4B Main, Gen.I, ZZ4, crate motor, roller cam, one piece rear seal, 330HP." My question is...do all the 350 Vortec motors say the same thing or did I pickup something special??

ZZ4 crate motor, sounds VERY special to me. Hell it is rated at 330 hp while the stock vortec block is 255 hp.

Picked it up for $795 without tax but I'm just thinking twice because it came out of a Savanna van and the outside of the motor WAS really rusty...Who would put a 330 horse motor in a Savanna

Make sure you have all the electronis on the new motor that your old one has. I went with a new zz4 base block and i waas missing some critical sensors and had to get new ones. If its a ZZ4 350 good find for the money!

10243880...350...95-00...2 or 4...Vortec truck, Gen.I crate motors and "ZZ4", roller cam, one piece rear seal, heads, 10239906...96-up...350.........."Vortec 5700", "L31", 64cc chamber, 170cc intake port, 1.94"/1.5" valves.

The 'motor' may have been cast and used as a ZZ4 as well. But it's a L31 you have, not a ZZ4. I think all ZZ4's had aluminum heads. I think part # 12367713

Yeah I think Blueflamed03 is right, just the stock L31 because I took out the old motor today and it had the same casting number...the interweb must have the wrong info or...I dunno, confused.
