Hi everyone,

I've had some leaking on my passenger foot well. It does not smell like coolant but I haven't had the system pressure tested to rule out the heater core.

I put a wire up the A/C drain and pulled the tube off but I didn't get any water. I'll try compressed air when I get to my compressor.

Sunroof drains are clear.

Maybe the windshield was replaced before I bought it.

I've taken a lot apart trying to trace the issue. I have the cowl off and found the L shaped foam pictured below.

Is there supposed to be a cover on this?

The fresh air cover to the left will be resealed to rule that out.

Any other ideas?

It seems like the water is starting under the carpet but I don't know.

Also, I found an extra plug next to my A/C canister but it won't plug into that. What is it for?

Does it only leak when you are driving somewhere when it's raining or is it leaking parked? Sounds like you need to take the carpet up on the pass side as well and then get someone in the truck while someone else concentrates alot of water in different spots with the hose to see an active leak! My guess is the drain on the front passenger side of the sunroof!

I ran water down that drain with the sunroof open and it makes it to end of the drain. I have my carpet turned up and the a-pillar trim and top dash off.

I'm trying to seal the usual culprits before dumping a lot of water on it.

It seemed to get wettest a few days ago when it was raining while I was driving around and had it sitting in the rain. But, the defrost was also on then.

I'm not sure if my A/C works but that was the first drain I checked. (Bought the truck in November)

I could not get any water to leak into the cabin with the truck off.

I then left it running for about 15 minutes with the heat on high and some napkins where the water usually appears. I found water coming from the under the vent on the transmission hump. I'm thinking this may be heater core, unfortunately. However, it was clear and did not have any coolant smell.

Does anyone know if you can at least see the HVAC module under the dash with the console out? I have to see the leak. It is driving me crazy.

Hi Jxdri,

check to see if you have AC on when it leaks. If so, it is most probably condensate pan/drain that is plugged. If so, shoot some air through it from under truck and it should clear it up. This occurs on all cars. Hope that helps.
