Not sure if its an issue for yukon. But 35w HIDs in the fogs of a tahoe leads to problems. I have heard of lens melting, i had a kit in my fogs that i turned on only a few times because the color was off and it scorched my reflector. I understand there are some 25w kits avilable.
ive been running DDMtuning 4500k kit in our denali for a few months now with no melting ( knock on wood ) I read some where that they use a slightly shorter bulb for distance from the crap plastic lens ( it did look a little shorter than standard 900x type bulbs ) if that really makes a differance in melting I dont know
I went with leds in my fogs, I was told by my installer that he melted the lens with even a 25w kit on another customers truck. The new camaros are bad about it too
