+1 on pulling the fuse lol
It took me 4 minutes to pull that diode and 2 of that was me getting comfy on the floor with the pliers and flash light.
That versus pulling the fuse (and I wasn't 100% sure if DRL was isolated or something else shared that circuit) I'd rather have one less piece of garbage under the instrument panel.

DRL fuse on mine is also fog lights. Since I didn't have factory fog lights, I pulled the fuse.

The Esca-Hoe driver.
If I ever want my daytime lights off I just press my E-Brake down a click. It's enough to flip the switch but not to actuate the brakes.
But why does it matter if your lights are on during the day any ways?

I just do not like running the charge on my alternator and the bulb hours for nothing.
My ride is big enough to be seen and if I need to turn the lights on I want to do it.

For those who care: If you don't have factory fog lights.
Locate the fuse panel on the drivers side of the dashboard near the door. Remove the 20A fuse #15 marked "DRL / Fog" on the infographic.
Done...annoyance averted.

I pulled my fuse before and the DRL still worked...
