I don't know anything about headers, but I did buy a set of these from Summit HERE.

I like them because they came with the Alternator pulley. Keeps the ALT completely stock.

from my Stang experience shorty's help a little (5hp) if your stock headers have the flat spots in the bends. Those spots narrow the inside diameter and as such choke the engine. Aftermarket shorties are mandelen (sp??) bent (smooth all the way around) allow for the exhaust to flow smoother. Biggest gain on the Stang was the Cats and H pipe....long tubes if you can go legally were also the biggest gains.

I cant run long tubes so its shorties. I just ordered a set for my Hoe so we will see.

No, I had to get a ne wbelt. the kit makes reference to an offbrand belt, but I was able to cross reference to a gatorback belt. I'll go look fo rthe part number...

EDIT: Found it! GATORBACK BELT 144738

So you only changed those 2 pulleys and u were able to use this belt and is working just fine? So If i go 2 a local shop should i just ask them for a belt that fits a 2007 avalanche or take them the part number you gave me?

Also, where did you get this belt from? i would love to get the same belt u have by tomorrow if i can find it here local in Houston, Tx. Because i am doing the work tomorrow!!! So would be very thankful if u helped me out a bit more so it could be easier for me if you dont mind and since i know that someone else have done the same thing and it worked on their vehicle!!!

Is this the kit you bought?

If not, then I won't be able to help you with the belt. But if yes, then buy the gatorback belt.

Shit. I gave you the wrong part number for the belt I used. I was looking at our shops part number. I tried to google it and nothing. Ha. Sorry. The actual Goodyear part number is 4060935. This can be bought HERE.

You can buy using the new part number. This time I checked to make sure it's good.

Yes, all of my other pulleys are stock. Same tensioner, everything. Yes, that is the belt that I am running right now with that summit kit.

Good luck!
