I did this on my tahoe. Go on ebay. Get one out of S-10 blazer its like 60 or 90 bucks compared to 350 from the parts dealers.

You have yo reomove the under and upcover around the steerin wheel. Then the undercover of the dash. Trace the wires to the plu...unbolts plug then unplug pugs and retrace your steps. Becareful when plugging and unplugging usually go b/c its has overheated and melted like mine did. Its in a tight area so be patient!

I have also change my turn signal on my denali and the thing i notice on the write up that blizz is showing is that i think its not necessery to remove the airbag i just turn the streeing wheel until i could see the screw and i used a long extension on my ratchet.

Nice post on that Turn Signal Switch problem. I was also researching in the net the same thing. At least, my search for a solution was found here in this forum. I'll try to do that with my vehicle!

funny how this was just bumped.....i've now lost both signals and brake lights. the funny thing is that the 3rd brake light works fine but not the brake lights. the #1 fuse blows instantly. before it was the #16 only when I used my right turn signal. interestingly enough, the first issue started after i put my in my new head unit....and recently got worse after taking it out to check on something. i'm thinking maybe the strain i'm putting on the switch taking off the dash bezel is breaking it? who knows. i'm getting more frustrated by the day.

I put a Escalade steering wheel in my 99 Tahoe and the air bag and steering wheel can be removed in about 5-10 mins. Take about a 1/4" flat head and there are hole in the back of the steering wheel cover and twist and the air bag comes out. The switch is not hard to change but it is in a tight space.
