wanted to start a thread to show how my rig has progressed. we bought it used in january, 2011. its a 4x4 LT fully loaded and was in pretty good shape with 82k when we picked it out. of course, it had molding, badges, and chrome everywhere, and the paint was "dealer detailed" as i like to call it, so it needed some work

right after we bought it, de-badged/molded and gave it a good detail, sittin on 275/60/20 and some pitted chrome wheels

thanks guys!

yes it sure is...

i use a porter cable DA polisher, and mostly meguiars products. i have all kinds of different pads and compounds, depending on how bad it is. if the paint is in good shape, i usually hand wash it (but lately been using the broom type brush), then let it air dry, spray the tires/wheels/wells with hyper dressing, then go over with quick detailer and clean windows, then i like to use megs liquid carnauba on a red pad with a nice slow speed (1 or 2) on the DA. while thats drying, i wipe down the excess hyper dressing, and finally, take off the wax

its a long process, and if i have any paint correction to do, it can take me a whole day start to finish, but it looks SOOO good when its done
