Apparently my GF's 99 Kon stalled twice today, but with complete power loss to the engine. Sometimes we have to, for lack of a better term, kick start the AC blower motor. My GF apparently kicked it and thats when the first stall happened. Then I am told that it also happened when going over railroad tracks.

This was at temp, normal driving, on a truck normally running well, and no codes.

Not sure if any bumps had anything to do with it, maybe coincidental. Maybe a short under the dash.

Old, possibly related thread here. This happened around a couple of weeks ago.

Any ideas?

Just in time for our trip :Grenade:

Now I really need help. I was putting the bezel that goes around the gauges and suddenly the lights flickered and the blower motors stopped (ignition was on so I could pull down the shift to maneuver the bezel). But only for a second and did it in much the same way as if I was turning the engine over. Except now, the starter doesnt respond at all. Blowers cut out like normal but the lights dont dim like it would signify lack of power. Cluster does not identify position of shifter/gear.

Ill take any ideas as I leave to vacation tomorrow afternoon!

Just realized Im also not getting any confirmation lights on the dash nor any fuel pump prime.

No prime, no crank, no indicators...

Fuse IGN-A was blown. Looks like there was a bit of metal still touching. Maybe enough to make this intermittent? It was fairly corroded, possible failure due to age or do I still have another problem; like a short?

Im thinking maybe still a short due to this being the circuit that also shows the shifter position and that it all happened when working in the steering column area.

Thoughts?

are your thermostat housing, right fender and dash grounds all intact?

Couldn't be 100% sure Sun. I need a listing of grounds and locations to confirm... Know of any such thing?

BTW, just got back from our short little vaca and truck ran perfectly.
