The tubes are more thickeer then the 2 thin rails that come up on the brush guard that are only there to support the main piece up high. I have seen people get hit with brush gaurds and all it did was force the corresponding side headlight protector into the headlights usually damaging them. With the bull bar down low the impact is only transfered to the frame where it is attached to where the tow hooks were. With the brush gaurd or the bull bar the corners of the bumper are always exposed. You just get better protection in the middle with the thicker tubes.

how do you think that a piece of tubed metal bent twice flows better with the lines than a full brush guard? dont get me wrong, i like the bull bars, but im sorry there are no better lines for that set up...

I hope you didn't take what I said as a personal attack on your ride. I was just saying it's a matter of preference. I think your ride looks fantastic. :Handshake:

I was all over google images comparing the look of Tahoes w/brushguards to Tahoes w/bull bars before I decided to go with a bull bar. Particulary since I was going with chrome. I thought a chrome brush guard was a "bit much"...

I personally dont like the full brush gaurd. I think its overkill unless you are going to go backwoods then you need to protect the headlights. For more urban protection for people who cant park the Bull bar works for me. Its lower and cover more of the bumper.

Yea, this is what I was thinking of. I personally like it. Have any more picks of it?
