Do you, or most other people, have the fogs wired to the lows so that when your headlights come on your fogs do too? Is that pretty easy to do?
you can wire them to your lows but i just press the fog light button....

so I got my DDM HID 880 for my fogs. I went to install them and it seems like the bulb is too long for the fog housing. Anyone else have this problem. I compared the stock 880 bulb with the HID bulb and the HID bulb is a little longer. It hits the fog reflector and bent it a little. Did they send the wrong bulb or is there a solution for this?

sounds like they sent the wrong one. Is there a number on the bulb, like the black part of it. Some of them are molded into that black rubber housing. But mine went in just fine didnt hit anything.

thanks mike. should it look similar to the stock bulb? Does your fog HID bulb look like that? there's nothing on the bulb to indicate what type it is, but the box it came in said 880.

yeah should go right in. Looks like the actual bulb is wrong one. Like maybe for a low, headlight. I dont know. Thinking about it, i do believe mine just went right in, no problems. I'll see if i can take a look today for ya and see. But i know i didnt hit the reflector.

Droppedhoe--- i thought 55w lights were just the ballast, being 55 or 35. Are the lights longer? thought it was same lights... ummmm maybe that is what is wrong oliver, maybe they sent the 55w lights.

thanks tahoe. i'm gonna see if they fit in the stock fog lights. i've heard stories about DDM sending wrong products, but this would seem pretty simple. i dont want to have to take out the reflector. Yeah, if you have time, take a pic of your HID fog bulb. No worries if not.

Thanks bro!

I had to pull the lens off and pull the reflector out, forced them in there the first time but after sitting on the reflector for 8 months one burned out and the reflector had black burn marks on it so I just removed it. Didn't notice much difference in light output without the reflector either :imo:
