For a late model tahoe (2007+), has anyone here tried to install a modification to enable a one-touch auto-up on the windows like the one-touch auto-down feature on the driver side window? I believe that the escalades have this feature and I'm assuming that there is some type of alternate window control module that enables this feature, or maybe the tahoe one can be reconfigured to provide this feature. I'm new to my tahoe and was used to this feature on my last vehicle....

Escalades do not have this feature, unfortunately. :( It will probably need some good reprogramming.

its not worth adding or messing with a mod like that. It could cause more headaches

The one touch auto up/down is standard in european cars, even low end ones ... in fact I can't remember being in a car in europe the last few years where all windows weren't wired/built that way. Most of them even have all windows up/down if you hold down the lock/unlock remote.

For some reason we don't do that in the US.

There was a post on here a while back about it. There is a module you can hook in to the harness and it'll do it.

I am going to ask a friend of mine if they think they could help with this - if so, I will be purchasing this. Now, I won't be the one installing it so I can't guarantee a good write-up, but I can guarantee good pictures and a detailed video. :)

And since it adds the option to roll all windows up with a press of the lock key, I will also look into getting my mirrors to fold in with that as well.

Your looking at changing a safety feature. Electric windows in the United States are designed this way to keep young children from being injured or killed by a window that automatically goes up. Gee, holding a button for 3 seconds....such a waste of time.

Then don't worry about thinking outside the box and coming up with something creative that not many others have done. I personally like the idea mainly cuz not everyone is doing it.

When the first person shaved the door handles off their doors I'm sure they got many responses similar to yours but they did it anyway.
