Most guys run a bag on the upper control arm but I think it looks goofy and doesn't give the best ride, let alone the angle of the bag is sketchtastic. I've seen a few setups like this that actually work...I'd build something a bit stronger tho.

2wd works best :imo: I'd do a nnbs front awd suspension/steering rack swap if I wanted to keep the awd, but it would be mad expensive.

There's a few people with bagged 4wd's on here I think. Most that keep the half shafts will bolt the bags on the upper control arm and then build a bracket on the frame. I don't think you can get as low with this setup though and I've heard it puts a huge amount of strain on the upper balljoint. If you remove the halfshafts you can run the bag off the lower control arm and then the bag on the frame.

I'll be posting pics of my setup when we get the front done, but it will be off the lower control arms, since I have 2wd.

max that does look sketchy.

Im laying running board on 28s and i have awd still. Granted i spent money on keeping it that way. Theres no cheap way to really keep the awd. My front set up has changed a couple different times and i havent seen the one he went with. I may go down tomorrow and see if i can get some pics.

Brandon did they smooth the bottom of your running board? I know the lowest part of mine on the front hits speed bumps unless I go really slow and figured yours was scraped off or smoothed to avoid issue.

truck looks good.

You can bag it to lay on the tires and it wont be as pricey. But if you want to lay it out and keep awd then you are going to spend some dough.

trick, so the only option is to bag on the upper control arm? I dont care for the awd, i thought that to make a denali 2wd would be just as costly as keeping it. i thought there was some type of mods to the tranny and front diff... Ium not sure though.

i didnt look into swapping to a 2wd max will know more about that. I think another member swapped his to 2wd also. Bromaguire or something like that.

I just kept it to say i did it for the "cool" factor i guess.

Honestly let me get a look at my truck maybe some pics of the front setup to show you. I saw modifying one of the control arms i just cant remember which one it was.
