Hey, just making sure I unerstand the order process correctly. So you just email black bear performance with the stats of your truck to order up a tune? Sent them an email this morning and wondering if I understand this correctly.

There is no need to give him the stats of your vehicle, as he will send you a questionnaire after you tell him what type of mail order tune you would like to go with (scan cable or traditional).

I'm still on the fence about getting a BB tune.
I was wondering about the ordering process too?

I was wondering is it was possible to see that questionaire ahead of time? I would like to see what options are available for a tune. I don't know if I'm making sence, but I kind of know what I want, but I'd like to mull over ALL of the available options in the tune. I can't do that if I don't know what options are available.

I was looking for things like O2 delete, and maybe EGR delete. Does this questionaire tell you what the advantage/disadvantage of each option is?

An example would be the EGR delete. Some people are doing that, but no one seems to know why, so does the questionaire attempt to explain the options, and are there other wonderfull options that I don't know about, but would like to research to see if I want them or not?

I've been meaning to ask this question for months, and I finally got around to it.

Thanks!

We don't tell you any advantages or disadvantages to any changes you request. , we expect that customers know why they are asking for such things as O2s or EGR, as well as the implications.

Here is a sample of the questions we ask.

VIN:
Gear Ratio:
Tire Size:
Modifications:
Primary Octane:
Desired Speed Limiter (optional):
Desired WOT 1-2 Shift Point (optional):
Desired WOT 2-3 Shift Point (optional):
Desired WOT 3-4 Shift Point (optional):
Desired Torque Management Reduction on 1-2 shift (optional):
Desired Torque Management Reduction on 2-3 shift (optional):
Thermostat temperature:
Do you have any other special requests?

It really is up to the customer if there are other things they want changed, but we have seen over 2 thousand vehicles, so we know pretty well what works and what doesn't work, and will make suggestions if need be.

Ok, fair enough.

That's the experience that I'm counting on.

I'm ready for my tune, what do I do next?
I've already fired off my email to [email protected]

Sorry about the thread hijack, but what are the next steps?

I've filled out the order form, paid my money.
It's been a week now (yup, 7 days), and I havn't heard anything.
No confirmation, no questions about my answers in the form.
No shipping details, nothing, nada, zip.
What's the next step?

Did I miss anything? Doing anything wrong? Not being patient enough?

Dang, I want it here!

Your tune was sent out last week, nothing out of the norm on your questionnaire.

Being that you are in Canada, we have seen stuff sit in your customs for up to 15 days.

Thank-you! It's here! I was being impatient. It did take exactly 14 days from payment to arrival.

Thanks-again.
