Hey all,

As many of you know, I installed the rear 3-4 Belltech springs (and extenders, etc.) a little while ago. Well, for my taste, the rear had to come up a hair in order not to look like it was sagging, so that meant lengthening the shorter autolinks to allow some air in the rear shock. That, in turn, hurts the ride. So, I thought the next logical step would be to drop the FRONT a little so that I could let the rear down a little and still have some factory-looking rake.

Well, here she is! It's right from the shop, so I don't have extensive time in it, but the ride feels BETTER now that the way it did. I still have to monitor whether or not the rear is airing up on start up, but I didn't notice that it did when I picked it up.

You can see from the pic that there's still some gap in the rear that can come out with some more tweaking of the rear links. The picture suggests there a little more rake than there is -- the street is level, so I think my phone was a bit slanted.

I lowered the front just 1" with front strut relocators (McGaughty). I didn't do the work myself, but the directions made it look fairly straight-forward. I had both 1/4" plates added to the perches for just 1" of the possible 2" drop.

Crappy cell pic, but what do you think?? Man, I love it. It's clearly lowered, but without being slammed/undriveable. Autoride is still in tact. So far, so good!

Thanks! I know the pic doesn't make the drop look drastic, but the overall impression, at least in-the-flesh, is pretty sweet.

For those looking to level the truck or drop it some "the easiest way," I'd say that this is it.

Crappy cell pic, but what do you think??

I think it looks like the perfect stance. :waytogo:

So in the end would it be fair to call this a 1/2 drop in case someone else wants to do it?

Haha! Well, You can call it whatever you want, but I guess it's a 1"/2"+ drop. (Maybe that's what you mean by 1/2 -- not a half drop, but a 1" front/2" rear, right?)

The front CAN go 2" down, but I kept the spacers in to get just 1". I may pull one spacer to get 1.5" in the front, but it really rides well, so I'm not sure if I'll mess with it further. I am going to shorten the rear links a little more to drop the rear another 3/4", I think.

I had the 2/4 installed on mine and just put the rear 1" spacer in. Now it's 2/3 and rides a hell of a lot better. the wife is even happy now!!
