Since i didnt see any pics when i started this project i figured i'd put some up.

I am removing mine to run the wires for a DVD headrest system.

Back of the panel has 8 hooks total...2 large ones at the top, 4 release hooks on the side and 2 release hooks at the bottom

First pic is the entire back of panel

These are the side hooks and note direction they face to release

These are the bottom hooks and note the direction they release

Start at the bottom 2 hooks and either use putty knife to slide up the bottom to release hook or you can do a push in and up with your hands on the outside like i did.

After both bottoms release you need to work both sides to release them, Again a putty knife to get in to the clips works like a charm. Once the bottoms are released the sides become very easy to remove.

If this was posted somewhere oh well maybe it will help someone.

Thanks! Wondering where you picked up power for the headrest DVD player. Power seat wiring?

Ahh..OK, makes sense. In my case, I'm going to install a player on one side and a monitor on the other (the player will be the source for the monitor). They'll play through wired or IR headsets so no need to go back to the HU at all. I'm going to have to go across the center console to connect the two so I'll either look for power there or just use the seat power.

Thanks for the seat back info, that'll help.

Yeah, mine are wired so that I can view movies via the Head Unit or via the headrest with the built-in DVD in it so the wife and I can watch a movie while the kids watch a separate one if desired. :waytogo:

The problem I see with grabbing power from the power seats is your seats can move whether the ignition is in the on position or not so there's a constant source of power there. Just something to think about for ya :Handshake:
