Ok so I go to take the dog out this morning and I noticed a crack on my dashboard just above the steering wheel. I have a 2010 with 24k miles and I believe that I should still be under the bumper to bumper warranty, but I'm curious if this would be covered under the warranty. Any one know if this would be covered?

GM has been trying to squirm out of warranty repairs lately, IMHO. I think this is how they recorded a record profit during the last quarter (after the taxpayers bailed them out no less).

In your case, 2010 with 24,000 miles, I would expect them to replace it FREE.

I wouldn't take NO for an answer.

I posted this video on the other thread but I'll post it again because I like it.

Good luck with the fix. You should still be in the b2b time frame so you should be ok

There doesn't seem to be any definitive time frame. Some dealers will still fix them free at 80,000 and 90,000 miles, while others dealers will shoo you away if you have 36,001 miles on your Tahoe, Yukon, or Suburban. Some people have to pay nothing, some people have to pay $200, and some have to foot the entire repair themselves.

But he should be ok considering it's a 2010 with less than 36k

Left dealer, part is under warranty, they are ordering it in and scheduling appointment when it arrives. Should be $0, but we'll see when it comes to the actual service day.
