I tried a plastic Disconnect Tool I had ,wouldn't work.
Bought a different tool, but It won't fit between the plastic on the pump and the fuel line.
There is only a 1/4 inch between the plastic and the fuel line.
I'm thinking cut some plastic out on the pump or grind down the tool.
Or where can I get a tool that will fit ?
Tool I bought in pic

there are more then one size available. this might be a better kit to try. should be cheaper then either of the two adjustable one available.

I have a full set of the plastic ones.
The tube on the pump is 3/8 so I assume the size tool I need is 3/8 Dia. Am I correct?
But the length of the tools won't fit between the plastic part on the pump and the line to get it in there, I was able to release one side inside the line but not the other side where the plastic bridge on the pump is the way.
What am I missing here

This seems to be a common problem.
I went through the same thing both times. You really need to work the tool into the fitting, it is very frustrating but, if you take your time youll getter done.

I took the pump out of the tank,(got tank out of the way) so I could turn the lines, then I just used one side of the tool ,then got one side released turned the line pushed tool in again released the other side, and got the lines off.
