So why isn't the dimmer backlit/illuminated?

I took the light switch apart thinking there was a bulb out... but nope.

They simply did NOT put any illumination behind the dimmer in the first place???

agggghhh! WTH!

</end rant>

I guess I have to add a green LED to get an illuminated dimmer, anyone done this?

Mine dims :shrug: You can pull the bulb or install a resistor if it really irritates you.

you have a light behind the dimmer itself? mine only has lighting around the rotary switch, and around the dimmer it doesn't.

thus it looks like there is a bulb out.

i dont think they illuminate. my 00 suburban and my 02 tahoe dont illuminate. the thing is that even if you put an LED behind it wont light up the little symbol because its just printed on.

It actually worked fine on my 03 as they were translucent. I just didn't realize the factory illumination was so white, so I'l have to use white LEDs painted over with green marker instead of the green LEDs I have now.

are my window button in the arm rest lights and backseat console lights supposed to be duller than my dash lights, or are they going out?
