CK375s Plastidipped

Hey guys,

Finally got around to installing the CK375s after plastidipping them. Had them balanced and mounted today. Also installed new TPMS - if anyone needs instructions on resetting the sensors, let me know and I can send them to you or possibly post them up here!

The truck is really dirty so please don't hate on that! :Boo:

Haven't had time to get a wash and the weather in New York wasn't too pretty lately.

Going to have plastidip them once more as some of the dip was affected during the process of putting them on.

These were taken when I was purchasing more plastidip just after mounting them. Enjoy!

Not bad but I've always liked the way that rim looks in chrome... at least if you get tired of the look you can just peel them

I'm curious ... can you drive with plasti-dipped wheels through a car wash without peeling?
Or does this mean it's hand wash or nothing?
Not that washing is a priority in your case.

I don't see any reason why you couldn't, I just wouldn't use the tire brushes.

Well, even soft cloth car washes have some sort of rotating cloth brush to clean wheels ... I'm just wondering if the plasti-dip will make it through something like that?

It did on my emblem, I think as long as you stay away from stiff brushes you will be fine, giggity.

Plastidip is pretty tough. There's a video on YouTube that shows a plastidipped wheel withstanding being powerwashed at 1800psi. A brush may have a different effect, and I somewhat expect that it would, but I typically go to a handwash.
