Hello! Although I'm not active on here, I figure its a good place to showcase what's been my last week!
So, the 213k miles on the 5.7 Vortec and 4L60E had taken its toll and I bit the bullet and decided to give it a new heart.
The engine is a std 350 with a .030 bore. Stock heads with the LS1 beehive springs to handle the new 270 duration and 485 lift cam. Professional Products Cyclone intake and Summit Racing 600 CFM Street/Strip carb.
After the engine, is a MadDog Transmissions 700R4. Their stage 2 'punisher' trans.
My boss and I accomplished the complete task in about 4 days. Quite the job, but the new powerplant runs well and makes me smile!
