Sad to say that after purchasing a set of painted Esky Vents from a member of this forum, they never arrived.
After 2 weeks i emailed the member and he said that his friend had sent them via USPS with no tracking number (Yeah right!!!!!).
USPS charge 70 cents extra for tracking info

After 3 weeks I emailed again asking for a refund and guess what? No response.

I filed a dispute with Paypal who also tried to make contact and still no response.

Has this happened to any other members? and should someone acting this way continue to be a member of this forum?

There has to be a element of mutual respect and honesty amoungst a group of people that share a common interest.

Out of common decency I have not named this individual YET! but my patience is fast running out.

This is just plain shady!!!

has the person been online since you guys made the deal?

you did good by starting a paypal claim. have they gotten your money back yet? try to post his info, to find out where he lives. if you can find out, contact his local police department and file a claim with them. also, check out this site for any possible recourse http://www.usps.com/forms/_pdf/ps8165.pdf

do not wait any longer, 3 weeks is way too long.

this is exactly why i've been pushing for a feedback forum.

Yes he was online at 3.02am this morning but has not posted for a while.
Yes I already filed the claim with paypal. Paypal have told me that if he doesnt respond by 1/18/10 they will issue me a refund.

I will contact the board admin to see if this member can be traced before I go to the Police
