    New engine 2023 Denali

I don't think this is "common", it's more than should be for sure and we got shafted.... but I see so many 6.2L powered trucks be it Silverado or Escalade allllllll day long. Denali is the new S Class of this city. They're just everywhere.

Stunned!! Denali 6.2 spun a rod bearing at 25k..

Nice, I know I've said it three times but it is louder too in the most glorious way. Haven't taken her on a road trip yet but am this summer!!!! What's crazy is there are trucks that are faster, but this V8 feels so good it doesn't matter. This thing is eye-poppingly quick. I love a normally...

I thought it was placebo effect but someone else in my family noticed it too... This new engine is louder, and I couldn't be happier. It rumbles louder. I don't have to turn down the music to hear the engine anymore, I've noticed. Man this thing is quick, I think it would beat my R129 SL500.

You can't get 93 gas everywhere, like in California. Got the truck back and she's purring. I'm following break in procedure but I have had a little fun. It might just be the placebo effect, but I swear this one is a little louder when driving... which is GLORIOUS.

We picked it up with 24k. You really had to stomp it hard to get it to knock, but it was reallllly loud and noticeable. I told them to put only a gallon of regular in it. Gonna go get some 93 gas.

I have been hearing about the Toyota 3.4tt’s turbo and wastegate issues but not thrown rods. In any case I hate that engine, they should have taken the 5.7 and bumped up the displacement updated it to well over 400 horsepower. Love my Denali but Toyota’s 5.7 V8 is the best truck engine of the...

I can't remember the last time I was this disappointed. I've been swearing on GM V8s (especially the 6.2) forever. Now Ford and Toyota are laughing.

Thank you! I'll let you know what they do with the warranty. The service department said this would take weeks or months, but my guy got it done. Lol the showroom is named after this salesman and 75% of the sales of that dealer he closes, and it's always been that way. Being a 55 year customer...

Truck will be ready tomorrow! I miss the damn thing. I will carefully adhere to the break in procedure maybe a couple hundred miles over even, then it's pedal to the metal. I hate that I got a bad one but that 6.2 is an absolute BEAST. My LX570 isn't slow, it will snap your head back, is...

Yes, good point. I'm gonna call today, I'd really like my paid-for $82,000 truck back.

No, they (CAFE, the government) are just that stupid. Ever notice that EVs get a magical pass on their absurd curb weights??? And yes, they are at work and have ruined cars and are in the process of ruining trucks. Thank God GM is coming out with a new small block, so we know they're not going...

Because there is no reason in hell a GM 6.2 should be throwing a rod at 25k miles no matter what, it’s absurd. I thought GM V8s were as stout as kryptonite. I’ve had GM products with excellent engines in the past, my whole entire life. That 5.3 is still ticking fine in the 800 I donated. I did...

Well I’m free to post in forums for one thing, and in my life I’ve had or there’s been in my family…. -1987 Cadillac Seville 4100 (that engine blew too) -1988 Oldsmobile Toronado (great car, 3800) -1990 Cadillac Seville updated HT 4.5 (muccch better, it was fast) -1994 Oldsmobile Silhouette...

Haha I love this, I also have an LS430, 2004. Same mileage, 155k. I've replaced a door lock actuator and a $114 thermostat that was running COLD (so the car never over heated, lol). Normal maintenance, of course too. That's it in 20 years. Stunning how the car still drives and feels like the...

----------^ I am sorry man, that's awful. Alright, update. The salesman and dealer we have used for 55 years did exercise some pull to GM, or they're taking a loss themselves. There is a brand new engine in a crate, waiting to go in because the head tech is on vacation. I told them rebuilt...
