No I had not considered that. From my understanding everything is the same except the torque rating, correct? I don't plan to go over 400hp and I'm not towing anything ridiculous. Not a bad suggestion though. Do you know if it would be a direct swap, or would require any additional mods/tuning?
"As for the OP's question, I'd definitely go with one of the reputable performance trans builders over a stock rebuild. $3,000 should cover what you need"
Would you consider the performabuilt to be reputable? The cost is $1890 including shipping, with a 1-year warranty. These guys at...
Looks legit. The price for their built trans with a 1-year warranty is about the same as factory with a 3-yr warranty. But according to them it's a better product. Anyone have one of these transmissions in their rig?
I was having the same issue. 2007 Yukon SLT 5.3. Intermittent functionality, really to pattern to when it would work and not work, but a major bummer on a 2000+ mile road trip. After replacing a headlight bulb the problem is gone. Is it possible that an "about to burn out" bulb could mess with...
Hey all I'm new here. Got a 2007 Yukon SLT, 5.3L 4x4. Had it about a year and done a lot of maintenance on it to get it up to *****. I plan on keeping it for quite awhile and am working on slowly building it into my performance daily driver. Starting off basic with plans for the SPL resonator...
Ok the exact same thing happened to me this morning while driving in to work. 2007 Yukon with 122k miles. Happened at low speed rolling through a light. Ease onto the throttle and CLUNK. Nothing engaged in D or 3, but shifting to 2 or 1 gets me moving. Did you do any of the upgrades recommended...
As a dealership employee I can tell you definitively that cash offers tied to GM Financial will not be the most competitive rate, but it's worth it for the additional rebate. Frankly I'm surprised it's not 5.99. Take the offer and stay with GM Financial for 6 months, then refi at best...
I have a 2007 Yukon. Just switched out the factory wheels with 20" brushed aluminum off a 2017 Silverado. Two butter knives got the Chevy center caps out without a scratch. Carefully wedge the first one between the center cap and edge of the wheel, pry gently, then place the second one in the...
