    Thanks Eman: Contacted Jasper on Sat. pm and had the most informative conversation with Andy. Quoted $3676 for reman 4L80E. Local shop quoted 9.5 hrs for swap out = 1815 +3676 = $5491 plus tax. Deposit and core charge not included.

    While I have your attention please let me know what you think about the symptoms of my problem transmission. The engine starts, seems to run rough. When I put it in gear and press the accelerator the rpm's come up but the transmission doesn't seem to upshift unless I take my foot off the pedal...

    Nick, I don't have the link to his You Tube I cited but it shouldn't be hard to search out. Try Remanufactured transmission... or reasons not to rebuild a trans... I would believe Scotty's experience is what his former client's or current bloggers report.

    Greetings PJD, I have a transmission issue on my 1995 GMC Yukon 6.5L 4x4 2 door with 243k logged. I plan to replace it with a "remanufactured" 4L80E trans to eliminate any future trans issues. Scotty on YouTube warns against "trusting" any shop to rebuild your transmission. The go to source...

    Greetings Forum, I am seeking a reliable source in the SE US for a factory remanufactured transmission for this vehicle. Does anyone have any first hand experience? I'm needing a pair of GMC 1500 lower door molding for a 2 door. Any info greatly appreciated. Please advise. Thanks.
