I have not done anything to it yet. Just looking for the part.
So I have the 6L80E transmission. Interesting. Then why did it fail if it's more robust? I never towed with it.
I am looking at this 2008 Yukon Denali XL parts car, the seller claims it comes with 4L80, how is that possible?
is it a rare 3/4 ton Yukon? In which case it comes with 6.0L not 6.2L
What years tranny will fit in my 2007 GMC Yukon? 6.2L Denali. This is the non-XL version.
I understand it's the old 4L60E, what years? I heard 4L80E could fit, is it possible?
that would be appreciated. Is it possible to install them with the rack and pinion not removed? Does it need some special equipment?
Or do you think it makes more sense to get the entire rack to make things simpler? Plus the gears inside must wear out?
Link?
Looks like this:

But I can't find it for sale anywhere. All I see is Dorman type parts, are these any good?
Does the Cardone rack and pinion rebuild the inner gears?

Mechanic thinks it's the rack and pinion, and has the BBB brand. I never heard of it. Rockauto has the same thing. How does it compare to the ACDelco brand?
Also do I need to replace the gear box as well, in addition to the rack and pinion?
