Getting a new to me 2023, Have a couple questions..

I have 2023 Yukon Denali Duramax, air suspension and supercruise. 28k miles - no issues. Electronics have their quirks. Once when new the Dash Screen was blank after starting. Turned off, waited a few minutes and restarted - all normal. Has not happened again. Once and a while Apple CarPlay...

Tow squat and IRS: bad combo?

First of all, modern IRS with upper and lower control arms maintain constant camber at different loads so that is not an issue. I tow a 27ft 2021 Airstream International that could weigh up to 7,000 lbs with 2023 Yukon Denali Duramax and Air Suspension. Use a ProPride hitch that eliminates...

    Benefits of the diesel?

Have a 2023 Yukon Denali Duramax. 27k miles. Great city and road SUV. The new Duramax is an inline six. As a result the turbo, DPF/SCR and EGR are able to be up close, high on the rear side of the engine. Recycled exhaust gases are captured after the DPF filtering greatly reducing problems with...

    Great Tire for Yukon Denali

I had 27,500 miles on the original tires in 16 months. They were ok but wearing a bit on the outer edge. I had been thinking about going to the XL / 115 load rated Continentals because when I tow my trailer I am near the SL tire’s load limit. Then I got a nail in one tire that required...

Denali Stock Wheels with A/T Tires

This is why I went with the Continental Terrain Contact A/T. They are XL load rated and are very highly rated in wet, dry and snowy conditions. A smooth and quiet road tire with good All Terrain features.

    Great Tire for Yukon Denali

Decided to replace the stock SL tires on my 2023 Yukon Denali Duramax with the Continental Terrain Contact A/T. They come in the stock size of 275 50r22 and have an XL load rating. Got them from Discount Tire. https://www.discounttire.com/buy-tires/continental-terrain-contact-a-t Although they...

How reliable is the new GMC Yukon Denali CL, especially with the new LZ0 diesel engine?

My 2023 Yukon Denali LM2 Diesel has been flawless for 20,000 miles. Diesel gets 24-26 mpg at speed on the highway and 20 mpg in city stop and go traffic.

Adaptive Cruise slams on brakes randomly

Have 2023 Yukon Denali w SuperCruise. I find that in heavy traffic with cars merging and changing lanes both adaptive cruise control and super cruise often act late and reactively. They cannot anticipate very well and tend to overreact. The semi-automatic lane change works ok in light traffic...

305/45r22 Tires on 2023 Yukon Denali?

The biggest issue is the very tight clearance to the suspension component behind the top sidewall of the tire. I measure less than an inch; maybe 7/8“. Probably will stick with the 275/50r22 in an XL load rating.

    2023 Yukon Denali XL/Baer Brakes

I have the Brembo Performance Brake kit installed on the front only on my 2023 Yukon Denali Duramax 4x4 with Air Suspension. Installed by the local dealer. The only issue installing these is that the larger front CV joint blocks access to the four bolts holding on the hub at the yoke. Need to...

305/45r22 Tires on 2023 Yukon Denali?

The Yukon has Air Suspension, but I do not think that matters in terms of suspension clearance. The stock tire size is 275/50r22 in an SL load rating. Because I am towing often, want to upgrade to a XL / load rating 115 rated (max 50 psi) tire with a little more load carrying capacity in a...

    Travel Trailer Sag

On my 2023 Yukon Duramax pulling an Airstream 27footer, you really have to crank up the weight distribution bars to get the Yukon front fender to not lift up 1 1/2 inches vs when not connected to the trailer. Have to apply enough force on the weight distribution bars to shift weight off the rear...

    2012 Yukon/Yet another camper question

The rear axle weight rating is likely to be the one to watch. You can minimize the load on the rear axle in two ways: 1. Using a weight distribution hitch to transfer force off the rear axle onto both the front steering axle and back onto the trailer. The goal is get the Yukon to swat evenly...
