This still sounds like an issue of not engaging aggressively enough, faster/more line pressure, as opposed to changing the behavior of a torque converter to not lock up.
What is the rationale for disabling TCC lockup in any gear? Knowing how my Allison and its' triple disc converter behave I would think you would be specifying faster and firmer lockup instead of disabling it altogether and this worked the same way when tuning 4L60s. You put a higher thermal load...
Correct on the laptop or something that can run Windows programs with a usb port at least. I haven't had anything beyond the $11 bluetooth obd2 scanners besides this VCX but I wanted to point it out as the value is pretty high if you can use it. As far as sellers being comfortable I think most...
FWIW I recently tried the Kicker upgrade in the front corners and I noticed in the Bose module it had DTCs for channel 7 and 8, presumably because now there wasn't enough resistance for it to recognize the speakers being there. Luckily I have not had any functional issues but the DTCs did appear...
I can confirm that my VCX Nano can read the mileage from the BCM. It seems to round differently and convert from metric differently from the cluster but it is there in GDS2 just like it should be on my 2015.5.
Yesterday I got my new Lloyds cargo mat in for a Yukon XL and sure enough it covers exactly the portion you need when you remove the rear seat. I'm very pleased.
I was actually in the middle of loading up for our first towing adventure in this rig when the cargo mat showed up. I drove it 35...
Finished an unrelated engine swap in time to get this installed before the storms rolled in. Thanks to @WingsAA for the cleanest part of my new engine bay. The airbox it came with wasn't particularly attached to the engine bay and 3 of the 4 screws sealing it around the filter were stripped so...
Pulled the 3rd row out to gain more space and lower deck height. Gross but satisfying. I'm going to find a Lloyd's cargo mat to cover the area (with the gaps filled in underneath.)
Anyone know the dimensions of the normal Yukon vs Yukon XL mats that cover the 3rd row?
I was a little hesitant to say this because I'm not exactly thrilled about it but I'm going to be selling the Tahoe :(
The girlfriend, live-in variety, wants a '15+ Tahoe/Denali/Escalade and with my 2500HD not going anywhere it seems really silly to have 3 full size "trucks" in my driveway that...
I did get it running well, just took a lot of back and forth with HPtuners until they got me access to every table and then after I was no longer fighting issues beyond my control I then had to learn how to tune... that took a little longer and I'm still far from an expert but I feel confident...
Yesterday I replaced rotors and pads all the way around. I found EBC USR series rotors for the rear for $71.71 shipped on a price mistake on Amazon. Actually they were supposed to be the GD series and they ended up shipping USRs. Either way I saved about $150-190 and so I bought the fronts to...
I have an update but things happened so I'm not going to post it all yet.
This had around 170k when I bought it and it's around 184k now. My 2003 2500HD has over 230k miles and is still very clean and my friends' 2007 Classic 2500HD was at 315k miles and looked to be in even better shape in...
