    I have the same issue, fans come on with cold engine. Replaced leaking radiator and thermostat last year. I'm going to try a new ECT and see if this solves the issue.

    I was lazy about a sun shade = cracked dash. I have my boat in the garage so Tahoe is out in the Texas heat. I like the exterior fit of your shade vs interior not sot great fit that I have. Mikez71, sorry didn't mean to over take your thread, but your thread help me-so thank you!

    Went over to Coverking website and they have a velour that might suite me and my wife. Looks like good quality too.

    I need something too. Cracked dash driving me crazy. My wife who shares the hoe with me doesn't like the looks of carpet. She thinks its 80's style. I like the looks of the Berksyde. Glare not a priority issue, just looks and no rattling from cracked dash.

    Update...tested the vent valve solenoid with some current and got some really slow clicks in the unit. Tried blowing through it as well (supposed to be in open position) but it clogged with blowing. Moved on to the charcoal canister and removed. Pellets felt out but was able to blow air through...

    Thank you and you are right...I just turned 172k miles. I won't hesitate to replace parts on my own but not going to let a dealer touch it. I'll try to use a scanner at a parts house.

    Thanks for the quick response. I checked the vapor canister purge valve and seemed to be in good order. Makes total sense to go to the back. I don't have a scanner. I'll probably order the vent valve OEM, replace it and watch for pellets.
