    was messing around with the broken trans and found more chunks. These are the biggest so far.

    So, I am now hip deep in a transmission swap. I am confused on the seal I need to replace for the transfer case filling up with fluid. Is it the back of the trans or the front of the T-case? I can't really see a seal on the output shaft of the transmission. BTW, it's a low mile used...

    I found a used transmission with a 6 month warranty. I have no clue how to rebuild a transmission myself so I'll put this used one in and hope for the best.

    I got motivated and dropped the T case an split it open. Nothing wrong in there so I went ahead and dropped the trans pan and found metal bits. I guess I have my answer. Now we're trying to figure out how far we want to go with it.

    Working on getting the tcase out. Have everything unbolted just have to figure out a way to lower it to the floor without breaking it or hurting myself. I don't have a trans jack.

    This is the Borg Warner all wheel drive t-case. There is no 2Hi.

    Now that I think about, I forgot that we had a weird clunk that was like a bad ujoint a few weeks ago. But I wrote it off as imagining things when I didn't find any bad ujoints. I was hoping to find someone here that may have dug into one of these before.

    I know the rear seal leaked into the Tcase. The reason I'm suspecting Tcase is because it doesn't hold it in park. I'm trying to figure out if the Tcase can fail and cause my symptoms because it feels like the park pawl is actually working and it also feels like it's going into gear. No noise in...

    Have a 2005 GMC Yukon, 5.3 all wheel drive. Wife was driving it and suddenly it wouldn't go, she gave it more gas and it clunked and started to go but was now making noise. She pulled off the road and got a tow home. Turns out, now it's not holding in park, when shifted to reverse with brakes...

    I got the time to mess around and found a yellow plug under each front seat. Disconnected battery and unplugged each of them and sprayed QD Electronics cleaner on both. Didn't fix anything. Any thing else I can try?

    Can TPMS system be disabled?

    As the title says. I don't want to pay for new sensors and the installation. Can it be disabled to turn off the light and stop the repetitive message on the dash. I've survived this long with out it on every other car I've owned.

    I did disconnect the battery and I have no option for clearing the code on my scanner.
