What is the extra wire for? I wired power to the camera from the reverse light as well, and mine comes on automatically when in reverse...Is it something extra you had to do for your setup?
You will have to look at your camera and find what supply voltage it requires. I am not sure how many types of oem camera's there are, I just know mine specified 5V 3A
The only thing you "need" to do the install is:
Camera
Power Converter
Wire
If you want to do it fully OEM, you...
If you are just needing the hot and cold buttons, I believe I have those two still, I am selling the buttons for $10 shipped a piece, so $20 if you want those two buttons.

I have the Nitto 420's and love them, they look good, ride good, and so far wear good. I can't comment on the falken's and never will be able too, I'm sold on the 420's
My camera had a sticker on it that said supply voltage 5v. That's why I got the converter. I just realized I wrote 3w on the converter, it's 3amps not 3w

Ha unfortunately no....I was by myself, this was to time consuming for me to take pictures. Took me about 6 hours, but would probably take me about 2 hours now that I know how to route everything.
The weather will finally be good this weekend...I will take what pics I can when I wash the hoe...
I originally had no navigation in my Tahoe, installed it and had been wanting a backup camera ever since. So if you want to add an oem backup camera to your oem nav keep reading…
You need to purchase:
OEM Backup Camera ($35.00 new on Ebay)
12V DC to 5V DC 3Amp power converter ($5.00 on Ebay)...
I agree with soulsea and sumo...I installed this months ago and it is nothing but problems, it works like it should sometimes, but most of the time it doesn't work properly. I would get the aftermarket system and call it a day, you will be much happier with your purchase.
If your wanting a full oem install you still have to purchase 2 harnesses and a module...they aren't cheap.
I have also bought the OEM camera, and have been waiting for a 12v to 5v 3a converter to come in from china so I can just do the install myself. The camera cost $35, the dc/dc power...
I sold mine locally for 200 with crossrails. It was to a small dealership, had a Tahoe with the police package and their customer wanted a rack before they bought it. I got lucky, I know lol.

You can not keep your original driver side window switch, it doesn't have the power fold button.
You must buy the mirrors and driver side switch to get everything working. Once you hook everything up, most likely when you press the fold in button you will only get the driver side to fold...
