    Lifted/Leveled 2021 - Postem Up

Agreed, my stock size MT tires are apparently too square so they rub and I was looking at the pullback kit, but taking the Sawzall to her...the damn truck was nearly 100k with dealer markup, the protective coating, and the extended warranty the wife was hung up on...she started looking up...

    Lifted/Leveled 2021 - Postem Up

It boggles my mind that the lower trims got 18s while the Z71 got 20s. Being an off-road trim you'd think they'd keep the 18s or at least make them an option.

Tires rubbing with stock size Mickey Thompsons

I also noticed they mention using a 2" lift to fit 35s with their kit the pullback or the screws should fix my clearance issues running the stock sized tires though.

Ours came without the air suspension so I'm not sure if we have the same clearance but I'm pretty sure I've got a handful of self tapping screws in one of my hardware jars in the garage, I'll have to check this out.

Tires rubbing with stock size Mickey Thompsons

A possible temporary fix, for now I'm going to mark the tires with some chalk and see how badly they're rubbing before I start altering anything since it's only at full lock.

Tires rubbing with stock size Mickey Thompsons

Stock wheels, I really want to drop down to a 17 but the extra grand for wheels just wasn't in the budget at the time. My biggest concern is that if they rub on level ground how much do they rub when we're banging around in the desert? I checked out the pullback kit a while back but I didn't...

Tires rubbing with stock size Mickey Thompsons

Several months ago I found the stock tires were pretty much shot after around 21k miles and the battle wagon was in need of an alignment. Seeing as we do go off-road now and then and the stock Goodyear tires are utter garbage and fragile to boot I upgraded to a set of 275/60r20 Mickey Thompson...

    AT4 XL - Largest Tires?

Seeing this setup makes me regret I only went with a stock size 275/60.

    Z71 Adventure Wagon

We had a blizzard back in 07 I think it was when I was working traffic and streets for the county, spent the weekend at a shack up in the mountains dispatching for the plow trucks and the loaders out working the mountain towns, first and only time I've seen snow that could bury a man, first time...

Y'all need to share the snow, 90% of Southern California hasn't seen a lick of snow this winter. It's in the 60s and breezy at the moment.

    Z71 Adventure Wagon

I've looked at a few trucks that mounted pods above/adjacent to the wiper cowl, that's what I've been considering personally when I finally get around to adding lighting. Before that though I've been looking at light bars and trying to figure out unobtrusive mounting options. Digging the...

Help finding a 6" lift for my 2021 tahoe LT

To my knowledge nobody else makes a 6" setup. Is that exact height a real sticking point for you or would you go lower?

    '23 AT4 + 2.5" RC or 1.5" RL leveling + 275/65R20s or larger?

We're still on the fence regarding lifts, the setup we're looking at is almost $6k without installation so the wife is feeling gun shy. The garbage Goodyear tires wore out in 20k miles so we needed new tires and we go out on the trail now and then so we went much more aggressive than stock with...

    Z71 Adventure Wagon

I don't know if I brought this up before but are you thinking about adding pods or a light bar?

    Cross platform wheel options.

I finally swapped out the stock Goodyear rubber for some Mickey Thompsons and it's honestly a night and day difference in terms of traction and capabilities, but ground clearance is still a big hangup. That and the lack of lockers.
