    Custom driveshaft after lowering?

Not going to lie, I'm neglecting to check those mounts. I didn't have this issue until I dropped it, its a 4wd rig. I'm definitely going to check those mounts now though to see if anything is out of wack before I drop a couple bucks on another driveshaft.

    Custom driveshaft after lowering?

Anyone had to have their driveshaft shortened or a custom one made after installing a drop kit for the rear? Put a Belltech 3-4" rear drop in my 03 Tahoe. Only have about a 1/4" between the end of the transfer case and the vibration dampener on the yoke. I can hear the tail shaft of the...

    Rear brakes still surging

I was thinking it would. Seems like the system is just deactivated or something, doesn't come up when scrolling through the menu in the dash.

    Rear brakes still surging

Did my oil change/tire rotation. Turns out the RR tire was down to 20 psi, cranked them all up to 40 and after putting about 200-300 miles on, only have a slight shake in the steering wheel, nothing compared to what I had. That being said, anyone know if the 2003 LTs have the TPMS system in...

    Rear brakes still surging

Feel it in the pedal, not much response in the steering wheel. I recently did the front wheel bearings, bought a brake kit for the fronts and everything was perfect for the front so put the new bearings in and put the rest of it back together.

    Rear brakes still surging

Interesting! I've never thought about manipulating the pistons and sort of "resetting" them. I'll have to give this a shot next time I have it in the garage. Hopefully it helps. I always use ceramic pads, will have to look into the carburized discs.

    Rear brakes still surging

I've rotated them once, they only have about 7k miles on them. Doing an oil change and rotation once I get it back from the shop, new rockers going on this week.

    Rear brakes still surging

Has a shake above 65mph (its 20 years old don't really care about that one). Pedal pulses when apply brake, as you mentioned. Usually only really pulses when slowing from 55 down to 20 or so. Little bit in the steering wheel everyone once in a while. I'm fairly sure that someone else had...

    Rear brakes still surging

Replaced everything. Not sure what the runout of rotor mount hub means? New slides were lubed properly. I actually don't have parking brake shoes in it currently, went to replace and snapped the little screw in there, so no parking brake.

    Rear brakes still surging

2003 Tahoe LT with 144k. So I've done 2 rear brake jobs on this rig since I've bought it at 138k. First one was a frozen caliper from a clogged line, thought it was just the caliper and replaced both sides. Now I'm on the second job, replaced all brake components, lines, and hoses. Only thing I...

    2003 LT Lower

All of the suspension was still stock until I installed the system in the rear. I will admit that the front is a little floaty, but not too bad. Rear was completely fine so I didn't bother getting new shocks. The rear springs were fine, shocks are still good to go, no leaks, self-leveling seems...

    2003 LT Lower

Ended up going with the Belltech 34324. Started at 37" in the rear, now at around 33.5". I did end up putting the 1" spacer in on the drivers side spring shortly after the install because it was riding on the bump stop. Leveled it for both sides after, but a couple weeks after it seems to have...

    2003 LT Lower

Hey all! Just created an account for hopes of advice after a lot of browsing. I need new shocks all the way around, I also want to level the rear end, don't really plan on towing anything heavy and if I do I'll put in helper bags. 2003 LT, 4x4, 3.73 with G80, 140k miles. Going to throw in some...
