    Update after a week of driving, the new pump started whining, so i am going to replace that, and go from there i guess. I am kind of annoyed by the quality of replacement parts these days. I'm just saying :(

    Correct, they only hook up one way, that is why i was confused by the line positions.

    ok time for an update, now that the weather is playing nice, i started pulling the old motor. Quick question, what is the best practice to removing the torque converter bolts? any suggestion would be appreciated.

    Looking Back at 2023

    i Completed my 5.3 motor build for my 06. I am on hold now installing it so i can collect some more parts. I want new hoses, belts, pumps ect. I also want to thank the members here for the knowledge they have shared. There is a ton of great advice.

    i agree, i will maintain and repair as needed, rather than a huge monthly payment. Rust does not bother me, i am planning to learn how to do the repairs. The burb does have one spot under the rear ac condenser, but other than that she is pretty clean for an old girl.

    my Wifes's 99 has the same problem, i have changed every pulley and the tensioner twice, and the alternator recently, and still have the squeak. It is annoying at idle but you can't hear it if your windows are up going down the road. It does go away once everything is warmed up. i am sure...
