05 Yukon Denail Got Broken Into

So when they push that cylinder in are they able to reach in that hole and toggle the lock? Is that how they do it? So a plate holding the lock in place prevents them from getting in the hole? I haven't taken the door apart yet to look inside to see how they did it.

05 Yukon Denail Got Broken Into

I parked at the airport for less than 48hrs and I came back to my Yukon with evidence that someone broke in. They hammered in the exterior door look and tore apart steering column. They broke the ignition as well where the black cover is gone and the innards are all bent up. See pics. This exact...

Exactly. Glad you got it figured out too. I love how they look so I'm happy I got it fixed.

LED tail lights with resistor, CC inop

Problem solved! Installed a 50w 6R resistor on both the brake light curcuits and we have cruise again! I went to Ace and got a u-bolt and some 90 degree bent sheet metal brackets and mounted the resistors on the little rib behind the light assembly to dissipate the heat. They definitely get hot...

LED tail lights with resistor, CC inop

Yep. I think the issue is that the aftermarket assembly came with a resistor but only for the turn signals. So, I'll just need to get one on the brake circuit and I should be good.

Yes man. I got a blue silverado and that thing always looks dirty. The yukon always looks better.

LED tail lights with resistor, CC inop

Thanks. I got it from a family member on a crazy good deal and at first I wasn't stoked on the color but it has grown on me. I have a 05 silverado with the 5.3 as well and the 6.0 is so much better with the 4 speed. Absolutely love the thing.

I think you all are correct. Thanks for the advice. I'll get that going and let everyone know how I end up for future reference. Thanks!

LED tail lights with resistor, CC inop

Here's my Yukon with the lights installed. I noticed that I had the wires between connectors crossed. Fixed that and still no dice. Going to swap the connectors all together later and see if that does it. If not, I'm out of ideas.

LED tail lights with resistor, CC inop

It shows them in the 4th picture on Amazon. Also, I have them and can see the resistor. It's not super clear from instructions which lead from the harness goes to each of the connectors on the tail light assembly so maybe I just have them flip flopped. The running light, brake light, and signal...

LED tail lights with resistor, CC inop

Hey everyone, I just installed some new LED tail lights on my 05 Yukon Denali and now cruise control doesn't work. Now that I have this issue I have seen that this is common and that the main fix for it is an in-line resistor. These tail light assemblies came with a resistor already wired into...
