    well after I attempted the re-learn process i found on youtube I managed to drain my battery low enough I had to jump start the tahoe. After I jumped started it the anti-theft light was off. driven it several times since and it hasnt returned so I'll take that a free win.

    rear main seal replacement

    I'm dropping my '05 tahoe at the mechanic in the next few days for the rear main seal to be replaced. Other than the rear main seal itself and the rear engine plate gasket, are there any other seals, gaskets, etc... I should order prior to its drop-off so I can pick the parts myself to help...

    Shock bolt size

    Does anyone happen to know what size the rear shock bolts are on top ? The best I can tell is M14 x 2.00 x unknown length. I know I can guess it but I'd really like to keep it somewhat uniform as I'm only missing one nut and bolt.

    Oil Pressure Sensor/Screen Replacement

    And apparently there are 3 different size O-rings for the pickup tube. When I ordered mine 2-3 weeks ago I ordered a new pickup tube just to be sure the screen on the old one wasn't clogged with debris. You can order them together from rockauto.com at a very reasonable price.

    Oil Pressure Sensor/Screen Replacement

    Check your pressure with a manual gauge first. That will tell you if it's a pressure problem or a gauge problem. If it's a low pressure problem change the O-ring. The in dash gauges are prone to motor failure.

    Yeah, that's what I'm hoping for is something is holding the brake, however when it is in forward gear it moves freely. My hope is the rear end hasn't eaten a grenade for no apparent reason while sitting motionless for weeks on end

    On the 2nd day it hops and will move maybe 3-5 feet in reverse and binds/locks up again. I haven't been rough on it and rarely drive it much in the past 6-9 months. Rarely tow anything and if I do it's a small 4wheeler trailer with a smallish 4 wheeler on it for hunting.

    definitely tougher than typical paint, my only apprehension is if i can get it close to a similar gloss shine as a regular paint job. I'm guessing if it were to be clear coated to have a shine to it the clear coat wouldn't hold up as long.
