    100% they are contributing to your ride harshness, just a tire change with the presumably old/worn suspension will make an enormous difference.

    Think you answered that one yourself, with the shorter shocks. That is going to be exponentially a stiffer shock if it has shorter travel.

    Assuming you don't want to put a full suspension kit on there, but FWIW the Belltech Performance struts for the front have been fantastic. No matter what path you choose, I'd absolutely get rid of those stock front struts!

    Did you find that tape measure in the surplus vehicle? If so it's probably garbage, those use fuzzy math. I'd go grab one from a big box store and measure again.

    The only thing different on your PPV than any other 2wd Tahoe are the rear springs, which are a bit shorter than non-PPV. You can put pretty much anything on there you see on any other Tahoe. My PPV is actually lowered 2"/3" with Belltech suspension, and I run 22" with 275/45 and don't rub at all.

    My god, I got PTSD looking at that setup. And I even can vouch I used a similar setup in my days as a BMW tech, but that style is a literal YOLO.....gigantic shrapnel grenade.
