    I tried cleaning ( with the good stuff)... a Honda Civic ...stock headlights had a factory film. Couldn't polish the plastic.

    Yup... I've seen that 'joint'..... But I have had an, "opps" moment a few times, also. The 'cut' looks planned..... But, I may have questioned it too. Until someone, smarter than me, corrects me.

    Once in a while, I read about replacing your stock bulb with an LED..... What is important is to buy an LED design that produces light that reflects inside your housing properly. Not all LED's are designed the same, and the wrong type makes a poor beam.

    You're in a good club..... I have seen a few Ferrari's with the same sort of scratches. ( Fix the tear with a plastic piece, behind, and some rivets.....)

    Cool !! Bob gave me his 1st edition, and signed it. He was very proud of it. That book was one of his life-wishes. I used that book as an autograph book, many legendary drivers in it.

    Everyone...... Buy this book. Share it with friends & family. It may look like race driving, but it is a life saver for the roads. It's about car control. ( with some fun driving added ) " High Performance", in this book teaches your brain, not the gas peddle.

    98% of public road drivers do not know how to drive. The rest are professionally trained ( semi's, chauffeur, quality driver training school- taught) The most dangerous are the people who "think" they know how....but never cared to really learn, and any advise, is an insult to them.

    IMO...... I like driving my '05 XL..... But going on a long trip, I usually rent. Any "on the road" issues is a quick fix, because you just call the rental company & replace. No time lost.

    The exterior shade has sizes to fit a car, or an suv..... or a full-size truck. I promise.... your interior temp will drop !! I also have the Weathertech window visors, and crack it open an inch to release the heat. Where I live ( West Palm)..... The Sun is the same as in Cabo San Lucas...

    When I was shopping for a mat, I believe there was a 'velvet finish' choice. ( not carpet looking), But don't remember where I saw it.
