16 Denali 6.2 8-Speed. I had a tune and AFM disabled recently. It went from 290HP/308TQ to 328HP/339TQ at the wheels. I had them tune it with a more aggressive throttle response and the truck runs so much better. In the future I plan to delete the lifters, install a bigger cam and headers while...
Good luck with the install and go slow. I would install the external microphone unless you plan to use the OEM bluetooth for calls. I was going to install the external mic behind the top of the screen out of sight but ran out of time the last go.
This is the way I have set it up. I resized them so it's not overwhelming here; I made some custom icons based on the Nova icon set. I have a single screen and the dock row at the bottom has 3 pages like a carousel so the difference can be seen between the first 3 images. I like those apps to be...
Actually first thing I did was install Nova Prime. The stock screen is so nasty; switched to the modern one and deleted all the shortcuts and widgets off the home screen for those odd times nova doesn't get displayed. When I ran android phones I always had it setup nice n crispy the way I like...
I think there’s a level of tweaking that most people don’t want to deal with when needing to reprogram to truck to play nice with the different engine and etc. I mean I’d like to but reliability is a big factor
Get a beater android and download offline Google maps. Connect to android auto. I think your other phone can still be connected with Bluetooth but not sure.
Yes HVAC all works in digital form except the digital heated/cooled seats. Those only work through hardware buttons and rear HVAC controls are accessed though a secondary screen. Of note, the new knobs from left/center/right control volume/fan speed/temp (for both sides); individual temp...
I have been busy so I haven't updated. SWC has been restored with the harness they installed. However, if I connect to Factory bluetooth up/down swc for apps that are not carplay don't work. Balance fade etc all work as they should it's just that my specific audio setup I have no front/rear...
Last November there were a few days when the Yukons fan would keep running full speed and until a few minutes after shutting off the engine. No codes. Then it went away; last night it started happening again. Something about the colder weather... this year has been much milder than last year so...
My heated/cooled seats in my 2016 Denali have never come on with remote start in the 4 years of ownership; kind of got used to it. The mirrors will fold in when the lock button on the fob is held down for a bit.
I was hoping The Tahoe/Yukon/Escalades would get an upgrade kit like the Sierra trucks can get but I don't think so. The factory screen has a resolution around SD so even if a HD camera could be made to work best would be a sharper image. The Sierra kit camera can do 600p or 600 lines of...
I know I haven't posted much since joining but lately I have been less of a lurker so why not start a post about recent work put into my 16 Denali. I had a Belltech 1020SP kit installed and after a few adjustments I got it sitting just the way I like. Two 8mm spacers were used up front and a 1"...
Looks good so far. I'd love to pop mine open and black out the chrome shroud around the low beams.
Does the adapter for the lower HB ensure that the cutoff is similar to the upper BI-LED?
It is what it is and looks more intimidating than it seems.
Eh, that's not really an argument. Fact is there is an issue and that's a part of vehicle ownership. You can either trade your time to solve the issue or trade money for it to be replaced. I shouldn't have to do dishes but guess what...
BIG UPDATE HERE
I have been able to enable steering wheel controls for Track UP, DOWN, and Siri using Wireless Carplay today. I was also able to figure out that phone calls can be exclusively set to use the factory bluetooth and microphone while keeping the audio from any music or media from...
Right now sound through Wireless Carplay is just as good as one could ask for. I did a split screen playing the same ALAC file from local USB on GT6 vs Wired Carplay to factory system and I could barley hear a difference. I even asked another person to do the Pepsi challenge same result.
Edit...
No there are no outputs from the GT6 and this is a good thing because of how it integrates onto/into the factory system. Essentially it is another source to the factory system so if there were outputs they'd only be supplying a signal for audio it generates and none of the factory SiriusXM...
