I have the same problem on my 2003. I also replaced the heater control and it didn't seem to help. I've heard replacing the DDM can solve it but one, they're a little pricey and two, I've heard the replacements can cause other issues with power mirrors and windows. -

One DRL only comes on when unlocked
Hi everyone, I have a 2003 Tahoe z71 and when I unlock the truck, both DRLs turn on along with the rest of the usual lights. I noticed when driving though, only one of them comes on. I've seen threads where both don't work but I haven't seen this situation where one of the bulbs clearly works...- cr0ut0n
