I lowered my Tahoe with Belltech kit 759 which is 2 inch spindles and 3 or 4 inch rear drop springs. The front is dead on 2 inch drop but on the the back when I put the spacer on the spring to get a 3 inch drop it came out to 2 inch drop. My Tahoe does have the big black Nivomat shocks. I called Belltech today and told them of my problem and they guy said he hasn't heard of that problem the 7 years he has been there. Are the rear shocks my problem to why its not going down to 3 inches. Belltech guy said just pull the spacer out and I will get the 3 inch drop I want but what do I do if I ever wanted to get the 4 inch drop?

The NIVOMAT shock 'lifts' the rear of the truck - the springs that come with them from the factory are softer than the springs that come with the regular suspension/shocks.

So if I pull the 1 inch spacer out will it drop me another inch or will the Nivomat shocks still hold it up?

Did you get the shock extenders? The shocks are holding it up.

Yes I put shock extenders on there. I think I'm gonna loosen the lower shock bolt where the shock can hang freely and then let it down on ground and see how much lower it is. Then I'll either get new rear shocks or just pull the 1 inch spacer out to get the desired drop I want. Cause I only want it an inch lower.

I just lowered my Tahoe in the rear with the 4 inch spring and put the inch spacer in rear hoping for a 3 inch drop and my Nivomat shocks gave me a 2 inch drop. My question is if I get the correct Belltech shocks for the rear will I get the 3 inch drop in rear I want?

Did you pull the shocks yet to see if it went lower?

Gonna do that Monday when I go back to work. Belltech has never heard of Nivomat shocks and they think I have Autoride when I told them I don't. They weren't helpful at all so I guess I'm gonna have to do some experimenting myself. Surely if I get the correct Belltech shocks for the rear I should get the true 3 inch drop I'm looking for.
