The dealer said I needed them - so I had them put them in.
My questions are- based on the photos
was the mechanic lazy and cut the inner fender lining OR
was the guy who had the Yukon for 2 years and made a mess of it on the hook for replacing the original liners with the wrong size from another year?
Also the boots look pretty wimpy - do they look ok the ya‘ll’s eyes?

thanks for the insight (pun intended)

Looks normal to me--similar to my 03.

It looks to me like someone, at some point, notched your liner for access to the top shock mount. Here's what mine looks like on my '04, you can see the moulding line along the edge that's intact for the most part on yours, except right in front of the shock.

Ok - it’s the top of the shock I am seeing? That means the ‘trim’ on the liner was done by another shop who did the shocks?
Is that boot part of the shock?
sorry to be stupid but haven’t really looked at all this stuff before.
Thanks for your help. Liners still look like wrong ones to me but I can’t trust me to know. Lol

Yes, the boot is the top of the shock. The liners look like they're the right ones to me, they compare favorably with @Tonyrodz's and mine for the contour of the edge.
