I bought my 04 yukon. There was a fire in the vehicle. I have to replace all panels and headliner also harness. I found a headliner with harness from a parts vehicle that comes with a factory dvd player installed. I bought the headliner and all the wires and dvd player. What will i have to do to make this work. i know power and grounds but there is a few more wires going to it. Does anyone know how to make this work.

Here is a schematic of the RSE system. Ignore the bottom part where it says splitter box, that is only for Escalade ESV Platinum models with two screens. Basically you have to get power and ground to it, sound wires, and a class two data wire. It gets plugged into the smaller connector on the back of the radio.

A few questions though....do you have XM, Bose and does your radio have a BAND button on it?

By the factory wiring scheme, the left, right, and common audio signal wires from the RSE travel down the passenger side A pillar and all meet at a splice pack under the dash. You can splice into the 12 pin half of the radio harness, per the diagram, if you chose.

The audio lines are twisted, foil shielded, and run with a bare drain wire in parallel to them, so to the extent that you have all the factory wiring, that's a good thing, because all the twisting and shielding is intended to prevent electrical noise being inducted into the signal wires from parallel power lines in the harness.
