Mine had always stayed at 40lbs or a tad above. This weekend it all-of-a-sudden pegged at 80lbs on startup and stayed there! Diagnosed as a bad sending unit...replaced it. Now it reads 60lbs (on cold start or at 80mph) and 40 at warm idle...up & down 40-60 with rpms. Dealer said it had been bad all along and finally gave out; that THIS is what it's supposed to do (?)

THAT's why I appreciate this site!!! 1st-hand experience from fellow owners. I admit to being an automotive hypochondriac (with an understanding Dealer). I was so used to it being wrong (constant 40lbs hot/cold/80mph) that now that it's right I'm NOT used to it! LOL Oh...today...start it and the RED Battery lite came on!?!? Drove right back to the (understanding Dealer)...turned it off. Restarted and NO LIGHT @#%#$^#$^ They said leave it for a complete electrical check.
