Just a simple door panel i did with 3/4 inch mdf.still have to wrap them.i was thinking some suede.jus thought id share see what people thought.doorpanel3.jpg doorpanel1.jpg

That looks very nice. I plan on doing this same thing at some point down the line.

Looks real nice man.

Why didn't you mount the mid to the door tho? Going to be hard to seal that up and have some midbass out of it, IMO.

I was wondering the same thing. I've seen a few of these with door pods, and I don't know how they seal up. Is there an advantage to having them mounted in the door panel vs. the actual door?

i dont have any bass coming out of those speakers.there all snare and vocals.only bass comes outta my subs in the back.

If there is no bass in your vocals.. then you have a horrible horrible system..

lol.. im not being a dick.. i promise.. im just saying most subs are playing 50hz and lower.. most GOOD builds are significantly less than that.. this leaves a BROAD range before you hit your true highs.. in reality your midbass in your vehicle is doing a crazy amount more work than the rest of your speakers.. its responsible for the largest range..

So .. boxing in those subs in your door will allow them to do their job better and pull lower notes.. and result in a cleaner sound.

Although.. im SURE it sounds 80 times better than stock already!
