I believe in general water flows from bottom to top so that air doesn't get trapped? I don't know haha. -

I think it's just so they don't put the wrong hose on the wrong pipe. during assembly haha

To update, I filler the gap between the reveal molding and the door itself with black silicone and no more noise.
