It's actually a Jasper reman and I went back to the shop twice. They showed me all the codes and gave me a printout. I'll pull the obd codes tomorrow. Thought I could remember but I can't.
First post in a long time.
Had a rebuilt trans put in a few months ago. From the beginning, it would shift really hard but only occasionally.
Took it back to the shop and they ran a full diagnostic and showed a bunch of codes that would lead back to ground problems, even some that were not...
Let me preface the description by saying I've searched and even thrown some parts at this problem already.
I have a medium/high-pitched grinding or whining noise from under my 07 4x4 Yukon. The noise varies with speed (faster = louder) but not RPM. The noise almost completely goes away when...
So, fried... Honestly I was worried it might be something like this. I guess I'll yank the cluster out and see what the inside looks like.
I wouldn't trust myself with repairs to a circuit board so any recommendations on a place to get my cluster repaired?
Yesterday while pulling into a gas station I noticed the DIC was not illuminated not the gear indicator on the cluster. Once parked, I shut the truck off and turned it back on and the DIC/gear indicator came back. Turned the truck off once more and everything seemed fine. Drove a few miles...
The end of the story goes like this. The 3-4 clutch was pretty well gone, most of the seals were completely worn out. The relatively new fluid had definitely taken on some material from within the trans. Took it to a shop where they went through the whole thing and rebuilt with new clutches...
Nope, no rebuilds. Just regular transmission services from yours truly. With it being just 4th gear I thought I had a decent plant of attack with changing the servo seals and the solenoids to eliminate that but now I've lost 3rd and I'm thinking it may be the 3-4 clutch. We'll see.
Well, today it got worse. Going up a hill in 3rd the RPMs ran away. So now I've got no 3rd or 4th, revs to the moon after 2nd. What's your manual say for that @swathdiver?
Been busy with alot without much time to spend on here. Work, coaching sports year round, plus I just haven't done much with the truck except keep it going as long as possible. That was going pretty well until this issue popped up.
I've got servo seals on the way for the 4th gear servo. I...
Have an issue related to 4th gear in my 4L65. Truck has ~250k miles so it may mean full rebuild but this doesn't seem like the band is completely gone. Only trans mods are Corvette 2nd gear servo and a Superior Billet 4th gear servo.
Leaving from a dead stop truck drives completely normal...
Hey guys, read a few threads around my question but didn't find a direct answer.
I have AFM disabled via BB tune. Will probably delete the hard parts in time.
I need to drop the pan to change the gasket and the pump o-ring. Should I plug the oil pressure bypass while I'm at it? Again, AFM...
