Wait..... what??? A wife that becomes a backseat drive?? Say it isn't so:rotflmao:
After 40+ years together, mine has finally learned to just be quiet. Mostly.
Kind of a follow-up to my thread looking for torques specs.... In case anyone opts for TLDR..... spoiler is the Fox shocks are a very noticeably better ride than the Bilsteins.
The front Fox 2.0 shocks are now installed and after a little 20 mile test drive on the country roads around my...
I just checked my top nut size and it is 17mm on the Bilsteins as opposed to the 15mm I kept find on the net, which makes the threads M12 instead of M10. Based on that, Bilstein spec would be 34 ft-lbs. Interestingly, the Fox top nut is 19mm.

Best info I could find on the net was Bilstein's installation instructions. Had to teach myself to read German quick, but I think I found the guideline I'm going with. For my shocks it appears they recommend 19 ft-lbs top & 54 ft-lbs...

I'm replacing my front Bilstein 5100's with Fox 2.0's as soon as I find the torque specs. I may well end up replacing the rears as well, but I do a lot of trailering...
We probably talked to the same yahoo at Go Industries. I called them to see what they could still make for my '07 Suburban and he pretty much laughed at me and dusted me off.
I didn't have much better luck with Ranch Hand or any of several other manufacturers I directly contacted either...
I have a '07 2500 Suburban that over the last 2 years I've been tinkering with building it to just what I want for a fun hunting trip/fishing/dog hauling/etc truck. The burb also gets used at least once/year to run PA to the Rockies to visit and/or hunt & fish with my kids. Highlights of...
