2011 Yukon XL - Two days ago I was driving on the interstate and noticed what looked like smoke/vapor coming through the vents, however it was odorless. Thought nothing of it and assumed it was just a Florida humidity thing, but at the end of the drive I felt warm and noticed virtually no air coming out the front vents. Rear Vents are working fine and providing cool air.

Fast forward to today and still dealing with the issue of air flow in the front, and a loud sound coming from the passenger footwell where I assume the blower motor is located. I assume this is cool air that is just not able to move and is being pushed up through the dash.

Also after I got done driving I noticed water was literally pouring out of the condenser, so am guessing it froze up and was thawing out?

In any case, any idea? I'm thinking the blower motor burned out

sounds like the refrigerant either leaked or dumped into the condenser all at once. I’m no AC pro so I take it in for this. If you have the guages you can see where the pressure is and figure it out that way or put die in the system to find any leaks.

The condenser is located in front of the radiator, it is the one that gets hot.
The EVAPORATOR is the part under the dash that gets cold, wet, sometimes frozen, etc. Confusing terminology but the water condenses on the evaporator, then drips out on the passenger side. If it freezes up on the evaporator, it can block the airflow. Usually if you turn off the AC button and the recirc button and leave the blower on, it will melt and drip out. Then the air should blow strong again.
If your drain is clogged, it may cause the evaporator case to fill up and freeze.

It’s terrible. My 2014 Cruze has the same problems @ front AC. I’ll never buy another Chevy as have very bad experience. I’ve spent so much money on fixing this limitation.

I promise do not buy this car. You will have to replace everything. :(
