I decided to do something about the poorly designed inner fender liners that allow lots of road water to spray & splash into the engine compartment. Purchased a 36x36 sheet of 1/8" thick nylon reinforced rubber, and cut two splash shields from it. (started by making a cardboard template). Then punched 1/4" fastening holes in it, and drilled matching holes in the inner fender liner. held them together with 1/4" plastic push rivets. I'll see if I need to tie down the bottom edge better.
Now I won't feel like I am wasting my time keeping the engine compartment clean.
