Last night I am driving, go to make a left hand turn, used the turn signal, heard it through the drivers side speaker. About 10 seconds later the audio for everything, including the turn signal muted for about 5-6 seconds, then unmuted and worked fine. Around 30 minutes later, staring at a red light and traffic, the right turn signal was on, the radio was playing, then it all muted. this time I looked around and everything appeared normal and working, but it obviously wasn't, no sound for about 20 seconds, then the turn signal and radio audio came back on. I had my mechanic take a look this morning, no codes set, everything passes diagnostics.

There's radio software update available that is supposed to address audio cutting in and out. Y171 is the software version - here's the TSB. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2023/MC-10246261-0001.pdf

GM seems to have paused OTA updates, at least on the SUVs. I haven't seen an update come through via OTA since last August. I wish they would push this version via OTA, but for now it seems to be a dealer only update.

Just curious…do you know if that update exists for the 2021 model year Tahoe?

Mine’s been doing that for awhile and they’ve applied a few updates to my system.

Sorry, I don't. I just keep track of the TSBs that impact my '22 with the Google based infotainment. '21 is, as you know, a totally different radio interface.

You can browse through the TSBs on the NHTSA.gov website and maybe you'll find one similar that applies to yours? https://www.nhtsa.gov/vehicle/2021/CHEVROLET/TAHOE/SUV/4WD#manufacturerCommunications

Traded my 21 xl AT4 for Silverado LTZ crew. I miss my Yukon! I am having the radio issue on My new Silverado. Not only does the sound go out on my radio and Turn signals, but it also goes out on my parking sensors and i still have to test rear for cross traffic. I think the problem is with the amplifier based on a sheet left in my truck from dealer. see attached, side note, I can't believe the difference in ride without the Magnetic Ride control. I feel everything in the road now. won't buy again without it.

I can you went from a coil spring independent rear suspension to a leaf spring solid rear axle. There's going to be a big difference in ride.

Today was the day, a new update was done. Hopefully this is the fix. I rarely drive it, the wife does 95% of the time. I get in it, went to lunch, and I noticed the Lane Keep Assist was displaying, the seat wasn't vibrating, nor were there any beeps. Called the wife, she hadn't noticed it, so no idea when it quit working. They said they applied 3 updates, so I should be good to go. Time will tell on the radio if the audio issue was fixed, but I thought the Lane Keep Assist works like my 2500 Denali does, the seat vibrates or there is a chime on the side that needs to be steered away from, but I noticed the Yukon only has the green lane lines, I went over the fog line, the correct lane line turned yellow, but there was no alert of any kind. Now to scour the owners manual and see if it should be doing more than changing the line colors.

Might check in the settings on the infotainment to make sure the safety alert seat is enabled

First thing I checked, it is enabled, also noticed it doesn't try and gently nudge the steering wheel either. I always like when updates don't work as they should, or break something else. I could understand the lack of testing prior to release if there were variables GM didn't control that are on vehicles GM doesn't have access to. Unfortunately if you run stock, and this occurs, it speaks volumes about the QC and testing of updates.
